Reading more into eric and looking at the posts and rants he makes all the time..it honestly seems like hes nothing more than a teenage edgelord. Yes, I would say hes somewhat intelligent; he planned the attack well and knew exactly how people would react. however, he doesn't really hold any true ideology about life and society, as he doesn't ever explain why he hates everyone. Most of his hatred comes from a short temper and constant annoyance from others, which is shown in his rants. He seems to hate the structure of society: going to school for years then working a 9-5. this is pretty common for young people to hate, not realizing thats not the only pathway of life. He doesnt seem to have a specific political view either, as he says he hates racism but also acts like he loves hitler in his diary. I think a lot of his writings are just to make him look "tough" and not who he really is, which makes it hard to identify his true thoughts and feelings, underneath the layers of anger. He really did want to become an infamous mass shooter and inspire others to do the same, but he isn't some "god" like columbiners treat him. Any angry, suicidal teenager with access to guns could have done the same. The only reason him and dylan are the most popular is because they were the first big school shooting, and they had a huge online presence and writings for people to consume.

another thing I'm noticing is how people like to call new perpetrators "larps". What they mean by this is they lack proper planning, copy columbine, and only do it for the fame. However, this is exactly what eric and dylan wanted. They wanted tons of copycats, even if they didn't get as many kills as they did. Because what the general public sees isnt a kill count, but fear for their children. It doesn't matter if only a few people are injured, it sends the entire town into panic. Some people are so chronically online they dont realize the impact that EVERY SINGLE school shooting has. Even just a threat is enough for parents to stop sending their children to school. Its not about kill count, its about fear. It doesn't matter if the perp isn't attractive or not "cool" enough for you to make edits of. What they did envoked a crisis in their town. Im not saying you should go and praise these 15 year olds who went and killed a few people at their school, but if you tccers are really "misanthropes" like most of you guys say, then you would probably enjoy seeing school shootings become more and more common throughout the years. Or do you just pick and choose which perps you like? It seems to me that the people throwing around the word "larp" at these kids are the real larps. Saying they're only doing it for attention, when that is part of the reason eric and dylan did it aswell, who most of you praise. I think if you're sitting on your phone all day calling people larps because they couldnt kill 20 people with a shotgun, you should go out and try it. You would be too scared.
